Mind full or Mindful?

Mindfulness has been common the last years in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and is a valuable tool in clinical practice. The Greek translation for mindfulness is not very exact, nevertheless mindfulness is one of the basic paths to "Enlightenment" according to Buddhism.
The person who applies mindfulness has the opportunity to be present in every moment with all his/her senses, being at the same time aware of his/her thoughts and feelings. He/She can perceive the self and the environment around him/her. He/She has the ability to listen to his/her breath, the beating of his/her heart, to feel the muscles of the body, to focus on smells, images, flavors, sounds and as a result to "dive" wholly in every moment. This process reminds a meditative break that gives him/her the energy to continue walking full of awareness regarding the inside self and the outside environment.
These days we have difficulty in placing our awareness in the path of "Enlightenment", because we are bombarded by the latest political events, the new tax measures, the international reports and a fierce load of scenarios regarding the economic situation in Greece.
These events blare our path and disorientate us from the essence of our self. Undoubtedly our national identity is a characteristic of our personality, but our narrow glance on the same issues cages our thinking. Perhaps if we remind ourselves to turn for a while inside us, we may become more calm and wise. As a result we shall have better coping strategies and a broader point of vision. What is more we shall live a full of wealth everyday life. So are you ready to become rich?
